Load Cells: Measure the load or pressure applied to tunnel support elements. Load Cells Installed at support points to monitor the forces acting on the tunnel structure.
Piezometers: Measure water pressure in the surrounding soil or rock. Piezometers installed in the tunnel lining or in boreholes to monitor groundwater levels and assess potential water ingress.
Extensometers: Measure changes in the length or displacement of tunnel components. Extensometers Installed across joints or along structural elements to monitor movement.
Seismic Sensors: Detect and measure ground vibrations and seismic activity. Seismic Sensors Positioned around the tunnel area to monitor for potential ground instability or seismic events.
Deformation Monitoring Systems: Integrate various sensors to monitor overall deformation of the tunnel and its surroundings. Inclinometers, extensometers, strain gauges, and other sensors working together to provide a comprehensive assessment.
Geodetic Instruments: Measure precise movements and displacements in three-dimensional space. Total stations, GPS receivers, and other surveying instruments to monitor tunnel alignment and settlement.
Fiber Optic Sensors: Measure strain, temperature, and other parameters using fiber optic technology. Embedded in the tunnel lining or structural elements to provide distributed sensing.
