Model SME 2460-S is vibrating wire type readout unit which is modified version of old readout unit. It is designed for use with all SME make vibrating wire sensors in all kind of weather. The SME 2460-S read out unit has double line alphanumeric LCD. The first row is for data
display and second row is for date & time display.
It has memory of 750 sensors. It can read and display readings and can store all readings in memory. The indicator can read and display data in Time Period, Frequency, Frequency square, or directly in Engineering unit like Ton, kg/cm2, mm, cm, m, Degree centigrade, Degree & Micro strain etc. Storage of the reading and measurement is done through a simple16 position membrane Key Pad. Each stored reading is identified by a reference number. Selection of serial number is done through Key Pad. One useful feature of this Indicator is its ability to see the last data of any sensors. This helps the user on site evaluation of the readings and the early detection of damage.
The programming mode permits the users to program the indicator for taking the sensors data directly is engineering units by feeding the sl. no. of sensor, K factor, zero reading, Engineering unit etc. up to a maximum of 2500 readings of different sensors.
